Brandon Gonzalez, MD, MPH, MBA

Resident Physician

Dr. Gonzalez joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2024. He is a resident physician in training at the Family Medicine Clinic – Island East. Dr. Gonzalez earned his Bachelor Science in Biomedical Science from The University of Texas Rio Grand Valley in Brownsville, Texas.  He completed his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from UT Health School of Public Health in Brownsville, Texas.  He also earned his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas Rio Grand Valley. Dr. Gonzalez earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the Tillman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Gonzalez is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Dr. Gonzalez has academic, clinical and research interests in Obesity, Cardiovascular Health & Lipidology, Statistical Modeling and Prediction, Medicare Alternative Payment Models and Accountable Care Organizations, as well as Artificial Intelligence in private and corporate medicine.
