Dr. Mathis is an Assistant Professor, Family Medicine in the UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine and currently serves as the Associate Program Director of the Medical Student Education Program and Program Director of the Integrative and Behavioral
Medicine Fellowship.
Dr. Mathis earned a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas. He completed training with the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Sugarland,
Texas. Dr. Mathis completed his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University.
Dr. Mathis is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He also completed a fellowship with the UTMB Health Integrative and Behavioral Medicine Fellowship program.
