About Me

Dr. Buck joined the Department of Family Medicine & Community Health in 2026 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice and Faculty Physician at the Family Medicine Clinic–Island East and Island West.

Dr. Buck earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Following graduation, he served five years in the U.S. Army as a Signal Officer. He then completed a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Dr. Buck went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. He subsequently completed his Family Medicine residency training at the University of the Incarnate Word Family Medicine Residency Program in San Antonio, Texas.

Following residency, Dr. Buck earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia, Missouri. He then practiced as an intellectual property law attorney for approximately two and a half years at Norton Rose Fulbright in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Buck is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. His unique background in engineering, military service, medicine, and law provides a multidisciplinary perspective to patient care, medical education, and healthcare innovation.
