A PERSONAL NOTE FROM DR. FUENTES
Hey future residents. I’m a native Houstonian, very excited to be back in the area for residency. UTMB has welcomed me with open arms and has been very supportive to my career goals. Being of Latin American origin it was important for me to get trained to treat patient from various backgrounds, but especially for Spanish speaking immigrant populations. Luckily, I’m working with these patients daily and have grown comfortable treating the patient illness in the setting of complex socioeconomic situations.
The world is your oyster at UTMB family medicine. My co-residents all have different career goals, and our faculty are motivated to help each of us in an individualized manner.
