A PERSONAL NOTE FROM DR. CHU
I was born and raised in Arlington, Texas, and I hope to go back to practice in an outpatient setting. My interests in medicine include preventative medicine and quality improvement. Going to UTMB for medical school, I was accustomed to the chill environment and nice people, which is one reason why I decided to come back for residency training. Galveston island has sunny, warm weather most of the time, and driving through the seawall is very calm and relaxing. There are lots of events going on, too, if you’re interested. It’s a great atmosphere to be training in. I knew family medicine was right for me because of the diverse patient population and pathology. Many of my family members are primary care physicians, as well.
My interests outside of medicine include video games and church choir.
