Anupsinh Chauhan, DO

Resident Physician

Dr. Chauhan joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2022. He is a resident physician in training at the Family Medicine Clinic – Island East. Dr. Chauhan earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at Nova Southern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Dr. Chauhan continued at Nova Southern University and earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Dr. Chauhan is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Dr. Chauhan's academic and clinical interests are in sports medicine.

A PERSONAL NOTE FROM DR. CHAUHAN

Hello! My name is Anupsinh Chauhan but I go by Anup for short. I’m originally from Florida, both Central and South. My fiancée and I couples matched here at UTMB, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine respectively, and felt that this was the perfect place for us to start our lives and get the best training possible in primary care.

I speak both English and Gujarati fluently. Some of my hobbies include basketball and videography. My passion for medicine lies within the relationships I build with my patients. I absolutely love living and working here on the island. Galveston is second to none in authenticity, uniqueness, and community style living. Even though the training here is truly broad and exceptional, what I love the most is the team we have here. For a lack of better words, family medicine here is truly like a family.

My time here at UTMB has just begun. I’m excited to continue serving the community and all of its residents.
