The UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine is pleased to announce that Quratulanne "Annie" Jan, MD has been appointed as Director of Inpatient Services for the UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine, effective January 1, 2020.
Dr. Jan joined the department faculty as an Assistant Professor in January 2019. Prior to joining the UTMB Health faculty, Dr. Jan was a physician with the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Jan earned a Bachelor of Arts from University of Houston and a Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. She completed her training with the UTMB Health Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Jan will be replacing Alvah R. Cass, MD, SM in this role. Dr. Cass has ably served as inpatient director since September 2018, and we thank him for his service. Dr. Cass will continue to serve as an attending faculty member on the inpatient service.
