UTMB Health Family Medicine Presents Lisa R. Nash, DO for December Grand Rounds Lecture

Lisa R. Nash, DO - Sr. Associate Dean UNTHSC Texas College of Osteopathic MedicineWe are so proud to welcome home, Lisa R. Nash DO, Sr. Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Medical Education Programs at UNTHSC Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and former Director of the UTMB Health Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Nash presented a Grand Rounds Lecture on Medical Education, Healthcare and Technology at the Primary Care Pavilion in room 2.268 from 1-2 pm.  

Dr. Nash grew up on a farm in rural north Texas and completed her undergraduate training at Weatherford College and Texas Christian University, followed by medical school at University of North Texas Health Science Center’s Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. As her academic career advanced, she completed her Master of Science in Health Professions Education at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for the Health Professions.

Dr. Nash completed her family medicine residency at Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas in Fort Worth and obtained board certification in Family Medicine. Dr. Nash spent four years in rural private practice before joining the faculty at University of Texas Medical Branch from 1998 –2010. Her major activities there included graduate medical education administration and teaching, as director of the family medicine residency and development of the rural training track. Dr. Nash currently serves as TCOM’s Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education where she is responsible for all GME programs affiliated with the health science center.
