The Texas Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP) has recognized the UTMB Health Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) as a 2019 first place winner for its FMIG Program of Excellence Award.
The award is accompanied by a $1,000 travel award to support student travel to the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) National Conference of Family Medicine Residents in Students.
This is the third consecutive year the UTMB Health FMIG has been recognized by this program, and the second year it has been awarded first place.
