FMIG Students Present at TAFP Coordinators Conference in Austin

FMIG Officers, Marysuna Wilkerson, Edward Strecker, CC Coyle and Kenzie Murphy, presented such a hot topic at the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine - Medical Education Conference in February that they received a special invitation to the TAFP Coordinators Conference on Friday, April 13th to present “From the Millennials Mouth – Reframing Family Medicine.”

The room was filled with residency and undergraduate medicine coordinators from around the state that help market family medicine to students through residency fairs, FMIGS, student events, etc. Knowing about the hidden curriculum, how to combat it, and understanding how to appeal best to the millennial student are skills that we all benefit from in order be best grow Family Medicine and primary care.  [video: 39mins]
