The UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine would like to congratulate Julie McKee, MD on being honored with the "Bronze" in the 2016 Galveston.com Best of the Island Award competition in the physician category.
The "Best Of" awards begin each year in October with nominations by visitors to the Galveston.com website. Following the nominations, the top nominees are then voted on through November and December.
Dr. McKee practices at Family Medicine Clinic – Island West. Her interests include complementary and integrative medicine, women's and children's health, maternity care, and medical student and resident training.
This is Dr. McKee's first time winning an award as part of the Best of the Island Awards, but it is the Family Medicine Clinic – Island West's second time. In 2014 Angela Shepherd, MD won the "Gold" in the physician category.
