The UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine hosted Joshua Freeman, MD on March 6, 2014. Dr. Freeman presented a Grand Rounds lecture entitled "Social Justice, Health, and Health Care in the US".
Dr. Freeman also gave a resident didactic lecture to the Family Medicine residents earlier in the afternoon.
Both lectures were supported by the Jesse B. Heath Lectureship in Family Medicine.
Dr. Freeman is currently the Alice M. Patterson, MD, and Harold L. Patterson, MD Professor and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Chief of Family Medicine at the University of Kansas Hospital, and is also Professor of Preventive Medicine and Public Health and of Health Policy and Management.
