Another Successful Primary Care Procedures Workshop

The UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine and the Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) hosted the Third Annual Primary Care Procedures at the Primary Care Pavilion workshop for medical students on October 10, 2013 at the Primary Care Pavilion on the second floor from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Students who attended were able to practice suturing, splinting, joint injections, maternity care, and other procedures, all under the supervision of a team of Family Medicine faculty and residents.

Julie McKee, MD serves as the faculty mentor to the Family Medicine interest group and, with the group's members, organized this event. Dr. McKee expresses her deepest gratitude to all of the faculty, staff and FMIG officers and members who made this annual event such a success. See some of the highlights below!
