Students for Integrative Medicine Group Names Officers

UTMB Health’s Students for Integrative Medicine (SIM) group has named its new officers. The SIM group serves as a forum for UTMB Health students to learn, experience and be supported in their exploration of integrative medicine.

The Students for Integrative Medicine group has long had enthusiastic faculty support from faculty members of the Department of Family Medicine, including the director of the department's Medical Student Education Program, Victor Sierpina, MD, and Julie McKee, MD.

In the 2013-2014 year, the following students will serve the group in a leadership capacity:

The SIM group has a number of projects in the works for this year, including a nutrition workshop at the St. Vincent's House Free Clinic, medicinal gardens on the UTMB Health campus, donations of food grown at Deborah's Garden for CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread, and supporting the Integrative Medicine Lecture Series.
