Family Medicine Welcomes New Faculty Physician

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our newest faculty physician, Dr. Myers Hurt, III, Clinical Assistant Professor, to our department. 

Dr. Hurt joined The Department of Family Medicine in 2010 as a resident physician in training at The Family Medicine Clinic - Island West and graduated with the Class of 2013 as chief resident. Dr. Hurt is joining our faculty physician practice with UTMB’s Family Medicine Clinics beginning August 1st  of 2013.  He will continue his practice at the Island West clinic location and his academic and clinical interests include Integrative Medicine and Behavioral Medicine. He will be joining the Medical Student Education Program and will serve as a small group facilitator for the Practice of Medicine (POM I).

Dr. Hurt received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and his Doctorate of Medicine from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. Dr. Hurt also received his Fifth Pathway Certificate from New York Medical College in 2009. 

We are very pleased to have Dr. Hurt seeing patients at Family Medicine Clinic - Island West.
