Several UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine employees were honored at this year's UTMB Health Employee Service Day ceremony, for having reached milestones. We're so proud of them all, and would like to add our congratulations.
Nita Caskey was honored for her 40 years of service to UTMB Health. Ms. Caskey joined UTMB as Assistant Director of the Department of Medical Records, and focused her career on medical records management throughout the 1970's and 80's. For the past 23 years, however, she has focused on community-based education in the Department of Family Medicine.
Several other Family Medicine employees were also recognized for their service milestones. Brett Howrey, PhD was recognized for his 15 years of service, and Layne Dearman, Hanan Hussein, MD, and Brittanya Jardina were all recognized for 10 years of service.
The Department of Family Medicine would also like to congratulate Joyce Cooke for her 25 years of service, and Ramona Carpenter for her 10. Joyce and Ramona are part of the Primary Care Services Group, an umbrella department that works closely with the Department of Family Medicine.
