Ansari Wins Gold Humanism Society Resident Teaching Award

The UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine is pleased to congratulate Saquib Ansari, MD, on winning the 2013 Gold Humanism Society's Resident Teaching Award. Dr. Ansari, currently a third-year resident and serving as Chief Resident, was selected by the UTMB Health School of Medicine Class of 2014 for his efforts in teaching medical students and for being an example of humanistic and professional values.

Dr. Ansari is one of five winners selected to receive the award, which will be presented to him at an awards banquet in June 2013.

The John P. McGovern Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society was established at UTMB in May 2005 by the John P. McGovern Academy of Oslerian Medicine and the School of Medicine. The UTMB chapter of GHHS is part of a nationwide program initiated by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation to promote humanism and professionalism in education and patient care.
