Dr. Saleh Elsaid, Assistant Professor and Director of Family Medicine Hospital Service, will be installed as the Treasurer/Secretary of the Galveston County Medical Society on January 20, 2012. A reception and dinner to introduce and honor the new slate of officers will be held at the Moody Gardens Hotel with the evenings guest speaker, Dr. John Leinhard, author and voice of The Engines of Our Ingenuity, Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering and History at the University of Houston.
Dr. Elsaid's induction as an officer comes as the UTMB Health Department of Family Medicine's chair, Dr. Barbara Thompson, steps down from her one-year term as president of the Galveston County Medical Society.
