Tuere S. Coulter, MD
Assistant Professor and Associate Director, Residency Program
Dr. Coulter joined UTMB’s Department of Family Medicine in 2012. She
currently serves as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Associate
Director of the UTMB Health Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr.
Coulter is also the medical director of the Ball High School Teen
Dr. Coulter earned a Bachelor of Science from Tennessee State
University in Nashville and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of
Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She completed her training
at John Peter Smith Health Network Family Medicine Residency Program in
Fort Worth, Texas. She also completed a maternal/child health fellowship
at PCC Community Wellness Center in Oak Park, Illinois where she
enhanced her skills in operative obstetrics and women’s healthcare.
Dr. Coulter is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Her professional interests include obstetrics, women’s health,
contraception management, preventive care, management of chronic
diseases and residency training.
