Dr. Jan most recently was a physician with the Henry Ford Health
System in Detroit, Michigan and an Assistant Clinical Professor with the
Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Jan rejoined UTMB as a
faculty physician with the Department of Family Medicine as of January
of 2019. Dr. Jan completed her undergraduate studies at the University
of Houston with honors earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and a
concentration in literature. She continued her studies and earned her
Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in the
Dominica, West Indies. She completed her training with the UTMB Health
Family Medicine Residency Program in 2015.
Dr. Jan is currently an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and is the Associate Director of the Resident Education Program. She sees patients both
in the Family Medicine Inpatient Hospital Service as well as at the
Family Medicine Clinic - Island East. Dr. Jan was appointed Medical Director of the Family Medicine Inpatient Hospital Service in 2020.
Dr. Jan is a certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American College of Physician Advisors. Her
academic and clinical interests include Public Health, Integrative
Medicine and Behavioral Medicine.
