A Personal Note from Dr. Kenneth-Nwosa

I have lived in Texas all my life and I am incredibly blessed to study and practice medicine in this great state! I was born in Dallas and grew up in Flower Mound with dreams of becoming a physician. I then attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where I was able to be a part of various pre-med groups like the Medical Service Organization. I continued my medical education in Galveston, Texas at UTMB and focused on sports medicine and community health through groups like Sports Medicine Initiative and Student National Medical Association..

Fortunately,  I had the opportunity to be selected to continue my residency training here on the Island! Family Medicine is a perfect fit for me because I enjoy pretty much everything about the practice of medicine - from delivering babies to geriatric care and from obstetrics to inpatient medicine.  I am glad that I also have the ability to focus on aspects of medicine that I find most interesting - like sports medicine. Over the course of residency, I plan on building a solid foundation of knowledge and sharpening my skill sets. Hopefully, I will find myself in a sports fellowship and then continue to serve the great State of Texas!

When I’m not studying or practicing medicine, I enjoy listening to music, playing and watching sports like basketball and football. I also like playing the drums and participating in activities with my local church.
