Dr. Nicanord joined The Department of Family Medicine in 2017. He is a physician in training at the Family Medicine Clinic - Island East. Dr. Nicanord earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, and a Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica.

Dr. Nicanord is certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Dr. Nicanord's academic and clinical interests include integrative medicine and geriatrics.
