A Personal Note from Dr. Ghosh

Welcome to Family Medicine! My name is Aditi Sreeja Ghosh, and I’d like to take a moment to share a little bit about myself. I was born in Houston, raised in almost every region in America and formally trained in medicine at Kasturba Medical College in India. This is the second time during the course of my medical career I’ve had to write about myself. The first was during residency applications, and it was then I realized why Family Medicine at UTMB was the perfect place for me to develop my skills and share what I had to offer.

The road to residency was a challenging one and as I moved forward from one step to the next and from one clerkship to another, I was sure that this was the field I wanted to be in. When I realized UTMB wanted me to be a part of their team, I was relieved and ready for the next step, RESIDENCY! Residency so far has been a great opportunity for me to meet new people in every field of medicine, interact with the patients, and people within the community.

On a personal note, I am enjoying every moment that I get to explore the island. Galveston is a gem, and there are so many little hidden treasures on this little island. I generally take long drives, take photos of the beautiful sunsets, and walk on the beach. Our residency program ensures we have a perfect balance between work and play.
