About this Site

The Family Medicine website (http://fammed.utmb.edu) was designed and developed by the Family Medicine Web Development Team. The team consists of Darren Burns and Julia Essex. The team launched a redesigned version of the site on March 1, 2002. The new site better expresses the UTMB identity, accomodates growth of the Family Medicine web presence, and incorporates excellence in design and usability. The lead developers, Darren and Julia, received content assistance from Linda Hubbell, Lola Arredondo, Scott Riley, Louis Johnson, and Allan Rogstad. Since the initial launch date, the site continues to expand under the development guidance of Darren and Julia. Among the applications developed by the Team and hosted on the Family Medicine site are the Online Clerkship, Online Course Database, Design-A-Case, Faculty Online Evaluations, online site management, inventory management, and various research projects.

Content. The Family Medicine pages are created and maintained by the Family Medicine Web Development Team with the input of the faculty and staff of the Department of Family Medicine. The content of all pages included within the Family Medicine site are closely monitored by the Family Medicine Web Development Team, and conform to the UTMB Web Guidelines.
