We offer primary mental health care and social services at two of our clinic locations, Family Medicine Clinic – Island East and Family Medicine Clinic – Island West. Appointments can be scheduled through those clinics or by calling (409) 772-2166.

Gulf Health Care Center
Our department provides medical care to the residents of the Gulf Health Care Center nursing home, located at 3702 Cove View Boulevard in Galveston, Texas. Physicians see the residents on-site, and provide continuous care and health care assessment, disease prevention, health promotion, women's health services, and diagnosis and management of chronic diseases.
Kyu Jana, MD is the medical director for our nursing home service to Gulf Health Care Center.
Ball High Teen Health Clinic
Our department provides medical care to the students of the Galveston Independent School District at its Ball High Teen Health Clinic, located at 4115 Avenue O (Ball High School) in Galveston, Texas. Physicians see the students on-site, and and provide continuous care and health care assessment, disease prevention, health promotion, women's health services, and diagnosis and management of chronic diseases.
UTMB Employee Health Clinic
Our department provides medical care to the employees of the University of Texas Medical Branch at its UTMB Employee Health Clinic, located on the 1st floor of the Primary Care Pavilion (PCP) on the UTMB Galveston main campus. Physicians see the employees on-site and provide work related health services for employees, including health assessment and new employee medical clearance, clinical occupational health program, research occupational health program, immunizations & TB compliance, medical treatment and followup for blood-borne pathogen & communicable disease exposures, work related injury treatment - first aid, foreign travel medical examination, and urine drug screen collection.
Alvah R. Cass, MD, SM is the medical director of the UTMB Employee Health Clinic.
UTMB Student Wellness
Our department provides medical care to the students of the University of Texas Medical Branch at its UTMB Student Wellness, located on the 6th floor of the University Hospital Clinics (UHC) Building on the UTMB Galveston main dcampus. Physicians see the students on-site and provide primary care services including screening for and provision of required immunizations and TB skin testing, primary care including physicals, Well Woman exams and family planning, evaluation and treatment of minor illnesses and injury, assessment and treatment of occupational exposures to blood and body fluids or other communicable diseases, referrals to specialty clinics, health education and health promotion activities, and travel medications and immunizations.
Hanan Hussein, MD is the medical director of UTMB Student Wellness.
