The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, seeks a full-time Assistant Professor with excellent clinical and teaching skills to work in our outstanding Department of Family Medicine. The minimum requirement will be an MD or DO degree, ABFM board-certification, Texas Medical license (current or eligible), DEA eligibility, and DPS eligibility.
The clinical educator will:
- Provide full-spectrum, direct patient care in the Family Medicine clinics
- Supervise Family Medicine residents as needed
- Take call on the Inpatient Service
- Serve as a preceptor to medical students
- Provide nursing home coverage
- Staff extended-hours clinics
- Assist in teaching activities within the residency program
Desired qualifications:
- 2 years’ clinical experience
- Strong Spanish and English speaking skills
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
